The Romanian Excellence Campaign—launched by Occidentul Românesc on January 15, 2015, and now in its fifth edition (2025–2026)—is more than a project of recognition; it is a mirror reflecting the true values of the Romanian diaspora.

Far from home, Romanians do not merely adapt—they thrive. They become professors at prestigious universities, researchers changing the world, doctors saving lives, and engineers shaping the future. Yet, beyond their diplomas and careers, what truly defines them is their work ethic, dignity, and commitment to representing a Romania worthy of respect.

Such individuals remind us that true excellence is not measured by the number of followers but by the real impact they have on the world. If Romania aspires to build a future grounded in dignity, it must honor its most valuable people—not only in the West but wherever they may be.
