Journey Through Sounds: Luminița Voinea and the Connection Between Radio and the Romanian Diaspora

Luminița Voinea, a program producer at Radio România Actualități, has a long-standing career in the world of radio journalism and belongs to a generation that prioritizes truth as the cornerstone of this profession. Later, Luminița joined the team that launched the “Românii de pretutindeni” project, a program dedicated to Romanians abroad, providing objective and impartial journalistic information for Romanians living outside the country. This show has helped build a strong relationship between the Romanian diaspora and their homeland, offering relevant and verified information.

Luminița Voinea’s passion and dedication to this field have been recognized through various awards and distinctions. She has been honored by the Union of Professional Journalists of Romania for her contribution to promoting Romanian values and traditions abroad. Additionally, as a recipient of the JTI Fellowships for Journalists, Luminița had the opportunity to interact with Romanian communities in several important locations, such as Brussels. The team of journalists she collaborates with is one of the key factors in her success in radio. Luminița acknowledges that she has learned much from her colleagues and has been supported by remarkable people throughout her professional journey.
